Walden Paddlers Inc., was started in 1992 with the simple objective of providing user friendly, high quality kayaks of superb design. All designs perform like much longer kayaks while providing the user the benefits of light weight and low cost.

The Walden Kayaks Mission

First: To help more people pursue the healthy outdoor pleasures of paddling, so they can enjoy Nature and help to preserve it for our children.
Second: To divert waste from the landfills of our towns by making it into high quality, high value, useful, reusable/recyclable products.

The Walden Kayaks Design

Each Walden Kayak is distinctly constructed for maximum hull performance in a compact size, providing you with the world-class tracking, glide, final stability and "sea-worthiness" you expect. No other kayak of this variety even comes close to the responsive "true kayak" feel of a Walden kayak. We've packed 12 foot performance into our 10 foot models and 14 to 15 foot performance into our 12.5 foot models. As you can see, you've got all the convenience of a lightweight kayak in an easy-to manage-size.

Walden Kayaks and the Environment

Walden manufactures plastic kayaks with a large percentage of recycled materials. To date they have diverted over 600 tons of plastic from landfills! Other companies can talk about saving the environment all they want, but only Walden produces Earth-friendly plastics for tough performance and ultimate durablity. You'll find both the hull and seat of every Walden kayak is made from as much recycled plastic as we can use.

Setting the Standard

Most importantly, Walden Kayaks strives to meet the toughest standards of all: yours.
